Plumbing Technician

The State of South Carolina is seeking a Plumbing Technician for a temporary grant-full time position in Richland County, SC. The salary range is $37,200.00 - $59,500.00 annually. This position is with the Adjutant General's Office and the normal work schedule is a 40-hour workweek. Job Responsibilities: Installs, repairs, and maintains plumbing systems at the McEntire Air National Guard Base, including 70,000 linear feet of water distribution line, 45,000 linear feet of sewer line, and the installation, maintenance, and repair of interior plumbing requirements for 79 facilities. Installs and maintains showers, sinks, toilets, and lavatories. Repairs sprinkler systems as necessary. Changes filters, repair separators, and change meters as necessary. Minimum and Additional Requirements: A high school diploma and trade experience that is directly related to plumbing and associated systems. Must be certified in backflow prevention requirements. Individual must have and maintain a valid South Carolina Driver's license. Must be able to climb ladders, operate equipment, work outside in extreme conditions, and lift 75 pounds.
