
Insurance Sales Specialist

This role is designed for individuals looking to gain hands on experience in business to business sales while working in the supplemental health insurance industry. Interns work directly with business owners, decision makers, and employees to deliver Washington National supplemental insurance solutions that enhance existing benefit programs.
Interns are responsible for developing new employer relationships and servicing established accounts. All sales activity is conducted in a business to business setting.

Role Description We are looking for full-time interns and those pursuing full-time careers. This is an in person role with a few locations around the Baton Rouge area. In this role, you will focus on setting up insurance products enrollments, building and maintaining strong client relationships, and providing expert consultation on health insurance offerings. Day-to-day tasks include conducting client meetings, explaining insurance policies, assessing customer needs, and addressing questions while ensuring excellent customer service. Additionally, you will assist with insurance brokerage services and help clients navigate their health insurance options effectively.
Qualifications
College students seeking summer internship opportunities or graduating seniors seeking full time roles
Interest in business to business sales, insurance, or client facing work
Sales experience preferred but not required
Strong communication and relationship building skills required
Self motivated with the ability to manage schedules and responsibilities independently
Willingness to obtain and maintain required insurance licensing
