Job Description:

We are seeking a ServiceNow IT Asset Management (ITAM) Specialist to design, implement, and manage ITAM solutions within the ServiceNow platform. The role focuses on Hardware Asset Management (HAM) and Software Asset Management (SAM / SAM Pro), ensuring accurate asset lifecycle tracking, license compliance, and cost optimization.

The ideal candidate will work closely with IT, procurement, finance, and security teams to improve asset visibility, governance, and operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities ServiceNow ITAM Implementation & Support

Implement, configure, and maintain ServiceNow ITAM modules (HAM, SAM, SAM Pro)

Manage the full asset lifecycle: request, procurement, deployment, maintenance, and retirement

Configure asset models, normalization rules, and reconciliation processes

Software Asset Management (SAM)

Manage software license compliance and entitlement reconciliation

Perform software usage analysis and optimization

Support audits and vendor true-ups (Microsoft, Oracle, Adobe, etc.)

Hardware Asset Management (HAM)

Track hardware assets across data centers, end-user devices, and cloud environments

Manage warranties, contracts, and refresh cycles

CMDB & Discovery

Integrate ITAM with CMDB, ServiceNow Discovery, SCCM, Intune, JAMF, and other tools

Ensure data accuracy, normalization, and governance

Support CMDB health dashboards and audits

Reporting & Optimization

Build dashboards and reports for asset compliance, cost savings, and risk exposure

Identify opportunities for cost reduction and asset optimization

Provide executive-level insights and recommendations

Work with Procurement, Finance, Security, and IT Operations teams

Define and enforce ITAM policies, standards, and best practices

Provide documentation, training, and ongoing support

Required Skills & Experience

3+ years of experience with ServiceNow ITAM

Hands-on experience with SAM / SAM Pro and HAM

Strong understanding of IT asset lifecycle management

Experience working with CMDB and Discovery

Knowledge of software licensing models and compliance

Strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills

Nice to Have

ServiceNow ITAM certification

Experience with ServiceNow integrations (SCCM, Intune, JAMF, Snow, Flexera)

Knowledge of ITIL processes

Experience supporting audits and vendor negotiations
