Outside Sales Representative – AV & Home Automation Integration (Base + Commission)

Position Overview We’re looking for a sharp, self-driven
Outside Sales Representative
with a hunter mentality. This is a relationship-building role focused on
identifying and cultivating new B2B partnerships
with general contractors, interior designers, and high-end builders. You’ll be the face of TEK-IT in the field — building trust, sparking opportunities, and opening doors.
This position is ideal for someone who thrives on connecting with people, understands how to build long-term value, and is hungry to grow their territory (and their income).
Key Responsibilities
Proactively identify and pursue new business opportunities with our target clients (builders, designers, architects, and contractors).
Schedule and attend in-person meetings, site visits, and industry events.
Build and maintain strong, loyal relationships with key partners through regular follow-ups and value-driven engagement.
Understand and communicate the benefits of our AV and automation solutions.
Track sales activity using CRM tools; manage pipeline and follow-ups effectively.
Collaborate with our design and operations teams to deliver a seamless customer experience.
Provide market feedback and competitor insights to help refine strategy.
What We're Looking For
2+ years of outside sales or business development experience (preferably in AV, construction, or design-related fields).
A true “hunter” with a driven, go-getter attitude and high emotional intelligence.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills — comfortable initiating conversations and presenting to professionals.
Professional appearance and polished demeanor.
Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a field-based role.
Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
Compensation & Benefits
Base Salary:
$50,000 annually
Commission:
Uncapped, performance-based — strong earning potential for top performers
