Human Resources Director

New Hope Village is seeking a qualified and experienced Human Resources Director to provide strategic leadership and oversight of all human resources functions. This position serves as a member of the leadership team and is responsible for aligning HR practices with the organization's mission, operational goals, and regulatory requirements. The Human Resources Director will ensure the organization maintains a compliant, equitable, and high-performing workplace environment. Key Responsibilities Provide leadership and direction for all human resources operations, including recruitment, retention, employee relations, performance management, and organizational development Develop, implement, and maintain HR policies and procedures in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local laws and nonprofit best practices Ensure compliance with employment laws, including but not limited to wage and hour regulations, workplace safety, and equal employment requirements Oversee compensation and benefits administration, including wage analysis, market benchmarking, and internal equity reviews Serve as a strategic advisor to executive leadership on workforce planning, employee engagement, and organizational effectiveness Lead and manage employee relations matters, including investigations, conflict resolution, and disciplinary actions Oversee onboarding, training, and professional development initiatives Maintain accurate HR records, reporting, and documentation in compliance with regulatory standards Supervise HR staff and ensure effective delivery of HR services Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field required; Master's degree preferred Minimum of 5 years of progressive human resources experience, including leadership responsibility Experience in nonprofit, healthcare, or human services environments preferred Demonstrated knowledge of employment laws and HR compliance requirements Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills Ability to handle confidential information with discretion and professionalism HR certification (e.g., SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, SPHR) preferred Benefits Comprehensive benefits package, including health, dental, and vision insurance Life insurance and retirement plan options Paid time off and recognized holidays Professional development opportunities FLSA Classification This position is classified as exempt under the provisions of the Fair Labor Standards Act and is not eligible for overtime compensation.
