Job Summary The Junior Catering Manager supports the daily execution of corporate catering and executive dining services within a fast‑paced Business & Industry environment. This role assists the Senior Catering Manager with coordinating events, supervising service staff, ensuring operational excellence, and delivering a high level of hospitality for internal clients and guests.
The ideal candidate is detail‑oriented, service‑driven, and experienced in corporate catering or upscale hospitality operations.
Required work schedule: Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM–6:00 PM; evenings and occasional extended hours as required by business needs.
Essential Job Responsibilities Event Execution & Operations
Oversee day‑to‑day catering operations, including breakfast, lunch, receptions, and executive dining events
Ensure accurate setup, presentation, service, and breakdown of catering functions in accordance with banquet event orders (BEOs)
Act as the on‑site lead for events in the absence of the Senior Catering Manager
Maintain consistent service standards and professional presentation for all catering functions
Client & Guest Service
Serve as a primary point of contact for internal clients and executive assistants during events
Address guest needs and resolve service issues promptly and professionally
Ensure VIP and executive‑level service standards are consistently met
Team Leadership
Supervise catering service staff, including servers, bartenders, and event attendants
Assist with staff training on service standards, hospitality etiquette, and operational procedures
Support daily staff scheduling and labor coordination
Event Coordination
Review banquet event orders (BEOs) and communicate event details to culinary and service teams
Coordinate food service timing, room setups, and equipment needsEnsure event spaces are properly staged and reset for future functions
Administrative & Operational Support
Assist with inventory management of catering supplies, linens, service ware, and beverages
Support billing, event reconciliation, and operational reporting as needed
Maintain compliance with company safety, sanitation, and operational policies
Required Qualifications
2–4 years of experience in catering, banquet, restaurant, or hospitality operations
Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills
Ability to manage multiple events simultaneously in a fast‑paced environment
Ability to supervise and support service staff effectively
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in corporate dining, hotel banquets, or high‑volume catering environments
Proficiency with hospitality or catering management systems
