Overview Wild Spring Dunes will be a public golf resort with world‑class golf, accommodations, and homesites. Two courses are routed with plans established for a short course, practice center, 40‑key hotel, rental homes and F&B Outlets.

Who We Are Set on over 2,400 sandy, secluded acres, here you will find dramatic elevation changes that highlight four distinct and diverse ecosystems: towering pines and hardwood forest, open, grassy meadows, rolling hills, and steep ravines carved by spring‑fed creeks that crawl through the secluded site. Wild Spring Dunes is located in East Texas, between Houston and the DFW Metroplex, representing an escape, a destination, a place to come together in community, a home for golf and wilderness lovers alike.

Your Role The Senior Assistant Golf Professional at Wild Spring Dunes will play a pivotal golf operations leadership role in opening and operating this new resort, which opened for preview play in November 2025 and a full course opening in early Fall of 2026. This position supports the Head Golf Professional in establishing all aspects of golf operations, including the golf shop, outside services, and guest service programs. The Senior Assistant Golf Professional will ensure members and guests receive world‑class service that reflects the brand vision of Wild Spring Dunes. This role requires a hands‑on professional who thrives in building operations from the ground up, setting service standards, and mentoring staff to deliver a premier golf experience.

Experience Required

A college degree is preferred. PGA Class A Member required.

3+ years of relevant experience in golf operations, preferably in a resort or hospitality setting

Proven experience in golf operations, staff management, tournament coordination, and retail merchandising.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with guests, staff, and external vendors.

Ability to manage multiple tasks, make decisions under pressure, and adapt to changing priorities while maintaining a high level of service.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office, POS systems, golf tee sheet management or related software.

Positive attitude, professional demeanor, and appearance.

Flexibility to work nights, weekends, and holidays as required

Physical Requirements

Read and write (English)

Communicate verbally with staff members and or guests with or without using two‑way radios.

Give and or follow verbal and written instructions

Operate transport vehicles

Stand, sit, walk, push, pull, lift, grasp, bend, and kneel for up to 5 hours at a time

Lift up to 100 lbs. occasionally, 50 lbs. frequently, and 10 lbs. constantly

Essential Responsibilities What You’ll Do

Partner with the Head Golf Professional in establishing golf operations standard operating procedures, policies, and model operations.

Lead, train, and supervise Assistant Professionals, Golf Shop Attendants, Starters, Hosts, Valet/Outside Service staff, and Caddies to ensure exceptional service standards.

Assist with creating operational policies and procedures tailored to a new semi‑private resort environment.

Manage cash handling, tee time fulfillment, and guest inquiries with accuracy and professionalism.

Support the design, planning, and execution of the resort’s tournament and event calendar, ensuring smooth integration across golf, caddie services, food & beverage, and guest services.

Provide individual and group instruction, clinics, and player development programs to enhance the resort’s golf offering.

Assist in building and managing a merchandising program, including selection, display, sales, and inventory control.

Contribute to the development of operating and capital budgets, with a focus on establishing baseline financial and service goals.

Maintain the Wild Spring Dunes brand standards during the pre‑opening phase and ensure they are consistently delivered once operations begin.

Oversee ancillary services such as handicapping, membership programs, and practice facilities.

Procure golf rental equipment and establish proper inventory management/storage, maintenance and replacement programs.

Represent Wild Spring Dunes professionally with founding members, partners, and external stakeholders during the build‑up to opening and beyond.

Perform additional duties as required to support the successful opening and long‑term success of Wild Spring Dunes.

Operational systems – tee sheet management, inventory, rentals, handicapping, and daily procedures – function smoothly and support the guest experience.

The golf operation contributes positively to the financial health and reputation of the resort.

You serve as a trusted leadership partner to the Head Golf Professional while helping build a culture that reflects the values of Wild Spring Dunes.
