Job Title:

Mechanical Designer

We are seeking a talented Mechanical Designer to join our team, where you will play a crucial role in creating detailed drawings, Process and Instrumentation Diagrams, and General Assemblies for both projects and proposals. Your work will contribute to the accuracy and quality of our engineering designs.

Responsibilities

Create and maintain drawings, Process and Instrumentation Diagrams, and General Assemblies for projects and proposals.

Collaborate with Mechanical Engineers and the Design Manager to ensure information accuracy in drawings.

Research and recommend system and machine improvements as requested.

Enhance the manufacturability of equipment or processes.

Implement design improvements on existing products using acquired knowledge and experience.

Self-check all drawings to ensure accuracy and quality.

Lead a small project and/or train a small team as requested by a Lead Engineer or Manager.

Essential Skills

Proficiency with Inventor, Piping Design, and AutoCAD.

Experience in mechanical design and piping design.

Familiarity with Autodesk Inventor and P&ID.

Ability to self-check and ensure the accuracy of drawings.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

2-Year Mechanical Design Drafting Degree.

1+ years of experience working with the Inventor CAD package.

1+ years of experience with mechanical products.

Experience in designing/drafting stainless steel and/or sheet metal products.

Experience in piping design.

Work Environment The role offers a hybrid work environment, with the flexibility to work two days from home and three days onsite. The position is based in a new facility, providing a mix of behind-the-desk duties and remote work. Job Type & Location Contract to Hire position based out of Winsted, MN.

Pay and Benefits Pay range: $30.00–$30.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
