Technical Designer

The Technical Designer will be responsible for managing the fit and construction of women’s RTW garments from development through production. This role requires strong technical expertise, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to multi-task and collaborate cross-functionally with design, production, and vendors.
Key Responsibilities
Excellent note taking skills during fittings (proto, fit, PP, TOP) for women’s RTW
Evaluate fit, balance, and construction; provide clear direction to vendors
Write detailed, accurate fit comments using Excel and Adobe Illustrator
Spec garments and ensure measurement accuracy and consistency
Track samples and manage deadlines in a fast-paced environment
Collaborate closely with Design, Print, Production, and Merchandising teams
Maintain fit consistency and uphold brand standards across categories
Qualifications
4–7 years of experience as a Technical Designer in Women's ready-to-wear
Strong experience leading fittings independently
Proven ability to spec garments and write comprehensive fit comments
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Adobe Illustrator
Strong understanding of garment construction, grading, and fabric behavior
Highly organized, detail-oriented, and punctual
Ability to multi-task and manage multiple seasons/styles simultaneously
Team-oriented with strong communication skills
