Job Summary The Sales Administrator is primarily responsible for recording, monitoring, and reporting the sales activities of Darling’s Sales Department. In addition, the role supports special projects and reporting as directed by the Sales Operations Manager.
Essential Duties/Responsibilities
Process customer orders via email and phone.
Support sales managers to ensure customer pricing is accurate and communicated.
Check data accuracy of sales orders and purchase orders.
Maintain excellent business relationships with customers through constant communication.
Work with logistics to ensure timely deliveries.
Maintain and update sales records.
Communicate important feedback from customers internally.
Process and communicate any sales corrections with the accounting department.
Provide support to plant personnel regarding schedule changes, rejections, etc.
Follow up on accounts receivable aging.
Process AP finished‑good invoices.
Work with the sales team to ensure all customer contracts, specification sheets, etc., are on file and updated timely.
Ensure all third‑party vendor warranties are on file and updated timely.
File and process quality alerts, claims, and rejections with the QA teams.
Provide administrative support and coordinate international transactions and related documentation.
All other duties as assigned by management.
Minimum Qualifications
High school diploma or GED equivalent.
Minimum 2 years of experience in sales administration; customer service background preferred.
Preferred Qualifications
Bilingual.
Excellent math skills.
In‑depth knowledge of Microsoft Office 365 applications.
Highly organized; superior time‑management skills.
Exceptional written and oral communication skills.
Self‑motivated, self‑starter, extroverted personality.
Works well with all levels of the corporation.
Working Conditions and Physical Demands Physical demands and work environment factors include exposure to unpleasant environments, biohazardous conditions, hazardous chemicals, electrical hazards, and use of potentially dangerous equipment. Off‑site travel may be required. Physical tasks involve sitting, walking, using hands, stooping, climbing, and speaking. Daily handling of up to 10 pounds of materials is typical.
