Position Summary
This recruitment will be used to fill four (4) part-time (a maximum of 24 hours per week) Graphic Designer for the Memorial Union at Oregon State University (OSU).
The Memorial Union Creative Studio is a team of graphic designers, photographers, videographers and animators who hone their creative skills and gain real world experience working in an agency style environment.
Designers will work directly with marketing professionals to create a variety of content - print and digital - for the Memorial Union and clients across campus.
Designers must be able to manage multiple projects and clients, meet tight deadlines and work creatively within OSU's brand parameters. Workload and hours vary depending on projects, but typically students work 15 to 20 hours per week.
Some projects will require collaboration between multiple designers and/or videographers within the studio, but most will be independent projects. The studio is well equipped with design software and utilities, photo and video gear, and has a relaxed atmosphere.

Position Duties
- Create a variety of design materials for print, social media, video/motion graphics, digital displays, etc.
- Work and communicate with clients on various design projects
- Self-manage project and files
- Follow a project from design concept to completion

- Must be academically enrolled in a high school, community college, or university and pursuing a program or course of study
- Must meet Academic Standing Requirements; students on academic suspension are not eligible for employment
- Must meet the applicable minimal enrollment standard
- High School student: Regularly enrolled in a high school or participating in a home-schooling program
- Undergraduate and post-baccalaureate student: 6 credit hours per term
- Undergraduate international student: 12 credit hours per term*
- Graduate student officially admitted to Graduate School: 5 credit hours per term
- Graduate international student officially admitted to Graduate School: 9 credit hours per term*
Additional Required Qualifications
- Knowledge of Adobe Creative Cloud software with working proficiency in Illustrator, InDesign, and Photoshop
- Able to design and create posters and multi-page documents(brochures and books)
- Basic photography skills
- Working proficiency in the following: Lightroom, After Effects, Premiere, Final Cut Pro
- Video and social media marketing skills
- Detail orientated with good communication skills in writing, verbal and visual media
