Director of Mechanical Engineering (MEP)

We are partnering with a well-established engineering consulting firm seeking a Director of Mechanical Engineering to lead their mechanical department and oversee the design and delivery of complex building systems projects.

This is a leadership role responsible for managing engineering teams, overseeing HVAC/mechanical system design, and supporting business development and client relationships.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the Mechanical Engineering department
• Oversee design of HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection systems
• Review engineering drawings, specifications, and calculations
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to engineering staff
• Ensure quality control and compliance with codes and industry standards
• Support proposal development, client relationships, and project delivery

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering
• Professional Engineer (PE) license required
• 10+ years of experience in MEP / building systems engineering
• Leadership experience managing engineering teams
• Strong experience with HVAC design, mechanical systems, and building codes
• Experience with AutoCAD, Revit, or similar design tools
