SR. ANALYST, PROPERTY TAX THE POSITION At STACK, the Property Tax Senior Analyst is an essential part of the Tax Team. You will play an integral role in the real and personal property tax function for our various domestic data center locations.
To be successful in this role, you will need to have excellent communications skills, strong attention to detail, be exceptionally organized, self-motivated, and a master problem-solver. You should be able to thrive in a fast-paced multitasking environment and easily adapt to change and rapid company growth. Our ideal candidate will have a passion for property tax and customer service (external and internal).
Key job responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Assist in communication and management of external property tax service providers (Ryan, LLC, and law firms), including reviewing appeal recommendations and personal property return filings.
Request and review predevelopment tax projections, with the ability to work within the provider’s Excel tax projection template when time-sensitive ad-hoc updates are needed.
Review property tax assumptions in business case proposals and weigh in on accuracy.
Assist in the preparation of annual property tax budgets and collaborate with internal teams to inform and analyze the impact of variances.
Work with AP and Treasury to forecast property tax payments ensuring sufficient funding and timely payment.
Assist with researching and identifying property tax incentives in existing and prospective markets and prepare annual compliance filings with various jurisdictions where STACK has secured property tax incentives (currently IL, OH, OR).
Review monthly property tax entries and account reconciliations ensuring accuracy and timeliness, researching discrepancies as needed.
Respond to information requests from external providers, assessment personnel, and internal teams.
Maintain property tax calendar and work within PropertyPoint software to track timely tax payments, appeal filings, and personal property filings.
Special projects as needed.
THE DETAILS
Location: Denver, CO – In office
Travel: less than 10%
Compensation: $94,340 to $105,000+ 10% Annual Bonus Potential

Must pass comprehensive background and screening.
MUST-HAVE QUALIFICATIONS
BS required, BS in real estate/accounting/finance preferred.
3-5+ years prior work experience in property tax field.
Technical knowledge of US property tax law, ancillary state and local tax experience a plus (e.g. sales/use, income/franchise).
Experience with commercial real estate, data centers, and REITs preferred.
NetSuite experience a plus.
Proficient with Microsoft Office product suite, especially Excel.
Detail-oriented.
Strong analytical, problem solving, and communications skills.
Enjoys collaborating and works well cross-functionally with other teams.
Ability to execute, process, and prioritize tasks with minimal-to-no supervision.
Proven success in creating efficiencies in processes and procedures.
