
Senior Contract Specialist

Our client is seeking a Senior Contract Specialist to support strategic IT software procurement initiatives. This role is responsible for negotiating complex software agreements, managing the full contract lifecycle, and partnering with cross-functional stakeholders to deliver value while minimizing risk.
The ideal candidate brings deep expertise in software contracting, vendor negotiations, and procurement operations, along with the ability to manage multiple high-visibility agreements in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
Lead the negotiation and execution of IT software agreements, including Master Service Agreements (MSAs), Statements of Work (SOWs), Non-Disclosure Agreements (NDAs), and Proofs of Concept (POCs).
Manage the end-to-end contract lifecycle, including drafting, execution, and post-award administration.
Resolve invoice discrepancies and contract-related issues, ensuring alignment with contractual terms.
Conduct Requests for Proposals (RFPs) using internal sourcing and procurement tools.
Identify and implement process improvements to enhance procurement efficiency and contract management practices.
Partner closely with internal stakeholders, Legal, and procurement teams to ensure compliance with organizational policies and regulatory requirements.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Finance, or a related field
10+ years of experience negotiating and managing IT software contracts
Strong knowledge of contract structures, including MSAs, SOWs, NDAs, and related agreements
Proven expertise in vendor negotiations and contract lifecycle management
Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills
Hybrid work schedule in Houston, Texas. Relocation is not offered for this role.
