Director of Operational Finance

Our client is hiring for a Director of Operational Finance. This role supports financial strategy and execution for a complex operations environment, partnering closely with operational leaders to drive efficiency, cost control, and informed decision‑making.

Responsibilities

• Lead financial oversight for manufacturing and supply chain operations
• Partner closely with operations leaders to improve cost, efficiency, and performance
• Own monthly close, forecasting, and operational financial reporting
• Translate financial data into clear insights to support decision‑making
• Oversee budgeting, variance analysis, and operational KPIs
• Support sourcing, vendor management, and cost‑reduction initiatives
• Guide capital spending analysis and investment prioritization
• Collaborate cross‑functionally to align financial and operational goals

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field
• Extensive finance leadership experience in manufacturing or operations
• Strong understanding of cost accounting and operational finance
• Experience with ERP systems and advanced Excel or analytics tools
• Proven ability to partner with non‑finance teams
• Strategic thinker with hands‑on, execution‑oriented mindset
• Excellent communication and influencing skills
• Track record of driving continuous improvement and business results

Compensation

Determining compensation for this role depends on a wide array of factors including skill set, experience, training, licensure, and geographic considerations. The salary range for the position is noted in this posting. The individual may also be eligible for discretionary bonuses and can participate in medical, dental, and vision benefits as well as the company’s 401(k) retirement plan.
