Director of Learning Strategy, 2 Hour Learning (Remote) - $400,000/year USD
Crossover, WorkFromHome, GA, United States
You've owned an academic vision before and delivered measurable results. You've led execution directly, not through intermediaries. And in learning science, you're no novice—you've created something substantive, produced evidence of impact, and gained credibility to represent it publicly. If this describes your experience, 2 Hour Learning is seeking its director of academic strategy.
2 Hour Learning operates on a model enabling students to learn twice as quickly in just two hours per day. Mastery-based progression, AI-powered tutoring, and departure from traditional classroom design produce these results. The outcomes speak for themselves. We now need a leader capable of unifying execution across varied school environments, strengthening academic leadership, and serving as the public advocate for a movement rooted in learning science.
This is not a theoretical position. It is an executive mandate. You will own practical academic strategy, establish rigorous standards, diagnose execution shortfalls, and guide high‑performing teams toward concrete outcomes. You will convert our scientific underpinnings into operational precision and champion this model externally.
What You Will Be Doing
- Building academic frameworks that convert learning science into actionable direction for curriculum, motivational architecture, and application design.
- Conducting academic execution reviews with Heads of Academics to ensure alignment, accountability, and performance across school teams.
- Analyzing data, interviews, and direct observation to produce ecosystem reviews identifying high‑impact barriers to accelerated learning and recommending concrete interventions.
- Maintaining strategic coherence through planning cycles, feedback mechanisms, and milestone monitoring focused on student learning objectives.
- Serving as the face of 2 Hour Learning in high‑profile settings, including keynote presentations and engagements with Ministries of Education, advancing systemic transformation in global education.
What You Won’t Be Doing
- Working on isolated curriculum initiatives without producing system‑level impact.
- Producing theoretical research detached from student outcomes or implementation.
- Transferring accountability for performance to middle management or external consultants.
- Depending on reputation or conceptual frameworks to influence skeptical audiences.
Director Of Learning Strategy Key Responsibilities

- Advanced degree (Masters or Ph.D) in Learning Science, Educational Psychology, Instructional Design, or a related field
- At least 7 years in academic or EdTech leadership roles, leading a team of staff/employees (not an informal peer leader role, such as grade‑level lead); you must have been responsible for hiring, monitoring performance, coaching, and making termination decisions
- Experience driving learning outcomes for students and upholding student performance standards
- Experience applying AI or emerging technologies to improve education, such as through personalized learning, adaptive learning, AI agents, etc.
- Experience managing academic teams of 50+ people (e.g., the teams you managed directly executed curriculum, instruction, or assessment)
- Experience interacting directly with students, teachers, or school leaders in a professional setting
