
Indirect Tax Analyst

global manufacturing company
headquartered in Charleston, SC.
Position Overview The Indirect Tax Analyst will report to the Manager of Indirect Tax and Technology and play a vital role in the
global indirect tax function . The ideal candidate will have a
strong foundation in accounting or finance , familiarity with
multi-jurisdictional tax compliance , and a
proactive mindset . Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills, along with eagerness to learn, will make this person a key addition to the team.
Requirements / Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in
accounting or finance
required
Up to
three years of experience
in sales and property taxes with multi-jurisdictional exposure
Familiarity with
tax research tools ; VAT compliance experience is a bonus
Experience with
sales tax compliance software and ERP systems
Strong
organizational and problem-solving skills
with a continuous improvement mindset
Proactive, detail-oriented , and willing to learn in a fast-paced, global environment
Key Responsibilities
Support the
global indirect tax compliance lifecycle , including coordination with third‑party service providers
Prepare reconciliation of all
sales, use, and property tax accounts
Resolve indirect tax notices from various tax jurisdictions with guidance
Support
sales and property tax audits , collaborating with internal departments and external consultants
Conduct preliminary
tax research
using available tools
Address internal requests to resolve tax‑related customer inquiries and business unit procurement questions
Review, validate, and manage
exemption certificates
