Lead Superintendent – Multifamily Construction
We are seeking an experienced
Lead Superintendent
to oversee ground-up multifamily construction projects in the San Diego market. This individual will take full ownership of onsite operations, ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. Responsibilities
Lead all field operations from
groundbreaking through project completion Manage and enforce the
construction schedule , including 3-week lookaheads Supervise and coordinate all
subcontractors and field personnel Ensure strict adherence to
safety standards and OSHA compliance Conduct
daily site walks , QA/QC inspections, and enforce quality standards Coordinate
inspections, permits, and local jurisdiction requirements Partner with Project Management on
RFIs, submittals, budgets, and change orders Lead
weekly subcontractor and coordination meetings Oversee
site logistics, sequencing, and trade coordination Manage
punch list, turnover, and Certificate of Occupancy (CO)
process Qualifications
8–15+ years of construction experience 5+ years as a Lead or Senior Superintendent on
multifamily projects Proven experience delivering
ground-up multifamily developments ($20M+) Strong knowledge of
wood-frame, podium, or concrete construction Ability to manage multiple trades and maintain aggressive schedules OSHA 30 Certification Experience with Procore or similar construction management software Experience with
large-scale multifamily (250+ units) About the Role
This is a
high-impact leadership role
for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and has successfully taken multifamily projects from
dirt to Certificate of Occupancy . You’ll play a critical role in delivering quality housing while leading teams in the field
