The Assistant Superintendent serves as a primary architect of district systems, translating our strategic vision into actualized structures. Reporting directly to the Superintendent, this leader ensures that every Rocket is equipped to launch confidently into their future. This is a full-time, 260/261-day contract position. Strategic Leadership & Responsibilities
Curriculum and Academic Readiness:
Serve as the district curriculum leader, ensuring all students demonstrate grade-level readiness through consistent instructional expectations and aligned resources. Systemic Consistency:
Identify and address systemic issues to ensure that expectations, procedures, and decisions are applied consistently across every classroom and building. Strategic Alignment:
Oversee federal programming and state requirements, aligning all fiscal and academic resources to ensure our strategic goals are the driving force in everything we do. Instructional Coaching and Support:
Lead the alignment of professional development and provide growth-evoking feedback to staff, honoring the vision of the community through foundational coaching skills. Operational Oversight:
Serve as the Title IX Compliance Officer, liaison for transportation services, and overseer of district operations and facilities to ensure a safe, responsive environment. Collaborative Governance:
Lead the Ohio Improvement Process (DLT, BLTs, and TBTs) to promote shared leadership and data-informed decision-making. Core Values in Action

Act with honesty in all presentations and keep the Board and community informed of trends and policies to ensure shared responsibility. Collaboration:
Build strong relationships with staff, families, and community partners to support student achievement and well-being. Follow-Through:
Develop and meet timelines for multiple initiatives, maintaining a relentless commitment to our collective priorities. Kindness and Empathy:
Treat all individuals with care and professionalism, even in moments of challenge or systemic change. Qualifications
Licensure:
Must hold a valid State of Ohio Superintendent's Certificate or License. Compliance:
Successful completion of BCI/FBI background checks and a valid Driver's License. Expertise:
Deep understanding of school district processes, data-driven priority setting, and the ability to facilitate people through systemic change. Resilience:
Ability to serve as a role model for students and staff, demonstrating problem-solving and empathy in all interactions. Working Conditions
The role requires maintaining visibility in school buildings and at events. It includes occasional operation of a vehicle in inclement weather and the ability to take immediate action in cases of emergency to maintain a culture of safety. How to Apply
