Orchard Vali Golf Club is one of 2 golf courses under the RJ Graham Golf Management Umbrella. We are seeking an Assistant Superintendent who has a strong work ethic and a sharp eye for details who can help work with our management as we continue to grow our membership and business. Orchard Vali is an 18 hole semi-private parkland style course. Over the past handful of years we have made great improvements to the course and will continue to do so in the future.
Educational/Experience requirements:
2-year degree in turf‑related field preferred
Minimum 3 years of experience in golf course maintenance
Possession of a NYS driver's license
NYS pesticide license or the desire and ability to get one (can apprentice under the owner who is licensed)
Responsibilities:
All aspects of course maintenance
Assist the Owner/Superintendent with staff hiring, training, scheduling, and supervision of employees and course tasks
Working with the owner on course improvement projects
Assisting the owner/superintendent with spraying, including keeping accurate records for compliance
Assisting the mechanic with maintenance when needed
Compensation:
$45,000 - $48,000 per season 9 months/40 weeks (Roughly March 1st– November 30th)
All costs associated with pesticide license renewal
Local GCSA dues
