The Multifamily Asset Manager is responsible for maximizing the financial performance and long-term value of the company’s multifamily real estate portfolio. This role oversees property performance, analyzes financial results, develops strategic plans, and works closely with property management teams to ensure assets meet operational and investment objectives. Key Responsibilities Oversee the financial and operational performance of a multifamily real estate portfolio. Analyze monthly financial statements, operating reports, and key performance metrics. Develop and implement asset strategies to maximize revenue, occupancy, and overall property value. Prepare and manage annual budgets, forecasts, and capital improvement plans. Monitor property management performance and ensure execution of approved business plans. Identify opportunities for revenue growth, expense reduction, and operational efficiencies. Review rent rolls, leasing activity, and market trends to optimize rental pricing strategies. Collaborate closely with property managers, accounting teams, and leasing teams. Oversee capital improvement projects, renovations, and repositioning strategies. Prepare regular performance reports and presentations for ownership and senior leadership. Assist with acquisition underwriting and support disposition strategies when needed. Ensure compliance with company policies, investor requirements, and applicable regulations. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Real Estate, Finance, Business, or a related field. 5+ years of experience
in multifamily asset management, real estate finance, or portfolio oversight. Strong financial analysis, budgeting, and forecasting experience. Ability to review and interpret operating statements, rent rolls, and financial performance metrics. Yardi experience is required (must be proficient in reporting and financial analysis). Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel. Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills. Ability to manage multiple properties and priorities in a fast-paced environment. Preferred Qualifications Experience managing a
multifamily portfolio of 1,000+ units . Experience working with ownership groups, private investors, or real estate investment firms. xywuqvp Knowledge of Jersey City or regional multifamily market trends.
