
Regional Sales Manager

Position Summary The Regional Sales Manager (RSM) is responsible for driving revenue growth, expanding market share, and developing strategic customer relationships within the assigned territory for pre-engineered metal building (PEMB) systems.
This role partners closely with builders, dealers, contractors, and internal teams to deliver competitive, accurate, and timely building solutions. The RSM will lead business development efforts, strengthen channel partnerships, and position Pacific Building Systems as the preferred PEMB supplier in their region.
Key Responsibilities Sales & Business Development
Develop and execute a regional sales strategy to achieve and exceed revenue and margin targets.
Identify, qualify, and secure new business opportunities with general contractors, developers, architects, and end users.
Grow and manage a network of authorized builders and channel partners.
Drive early-stage project engagement to position the company as the preferred PEMB supplier.
Maintain strong market presence through consistent customer interaction and industry engagement.
Account Management
Develop and maintain strong relationships with key customers and partners to drive repeat business.
Conduct regular territory visits, jobsite meetings, and customer presentations.
Provide consultative sales support, including conceptual budgeting and value engineering.
Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction throughout the sales process.
Technical Sales Leadership
Review and interpret construction documents, specifications, and structural drawings.
Collaborate with estimating and engineering teams to develop accurate proposals and solutions.
Provide guidance on design optimization, code compliance, and cost efficiencies.
Support customers through the full sales cycle—from project concept through contract execution.
Manage accurate CRM pipeline data, forecasts, and sales reporting.
Track project stages including budgeting, quoting, negotiation, and award.
Monitor market conditions, competitor activity, and emerging industry trends.
Qualifications Required
5+ years of sales experience in PEMB, steel construction, or commercial building systems
Strong understanding of:
Structural systems (primary/secondary framing)
Construction process and timelines
Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets
Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications
Willingness to travel extensively within assigned territory
Preferred
Experience working directly with PEMB manufacturers
Familiarity with CRM platforms and construction estimating software
Existing relationships with general contractors, developers, architects, or design-build firms within the Willamette Valley construction market.
Competitive base salary plus uncapped commission structure
