Role Overview

Whirlpool is seeking a qualified candidate for Channel, Sales Manager – Consumer Products Group (CPG) Account Management – Home Depot / Walmart / Distributors. This role is onsite 5 days a week at our Riverview Campus, Benton Harbor, MI.

The CPG team delivers high‑performance products with a customer‑centric culture. As a Sales Manager, you will develop and execute retail‑specific go‑to‑market strategies to deliver our 3‑year growth roadmap. You will work closely with Brand/Product/Shopper Marketing and Demand Planning teams, build strong customer relationships, and lead with accountability, bias for action, and Whirlpool values.

Your Responsibilities:

Develop and execute retail‑specific go‑to‑market strategies (product, promotions, placement, in‑store activity) to increase sales and accelerate growth.

Build trade relationships and collaborate to drive initiatives forward through data analysis.

Lead with a customer‑first mindset, challenge the status quo, and apply thought leadership to complex problems.

Own P&L and supply/demand planning for assigned retailers, managing predictability across the value chain.

Analyze weekly drivers and market/competitive changes using POS data and post‑audit feedback.

Craft storytelling decks to win line reviews and expand distribution.

Apply agile, creative problem‑solving, working independently and with the team on frequent, short deadlines.

Travel 10‑25% within the U.S.

Minimum Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree.

2+ years of sales experience.

Preferred Skills & Experiences:

MBA.

Bachelor’s degree in Business or Marketing.

Experience in CPG, buying, selling, marketing, or merchandising consumer goods.

Ability to drive growth and use data to formulate strategies.

Strong analytical, P&L, and channel management skills.

Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.

Knowledge of products and brands.

Project management and multitasking capabilities.

Leadership that positively influences CPG culture.
