The Content Strategist is a client-facing role responsible for developing and executing SEO-driven content strategies for ATB’s law firm clients. This role goes beyond content production — it requires strategic thinking, direct client communication, and the ability to translate client goals into content that drives measurable results. The Content Strategist works closely with Senior Content Strategists, SEO teams, and Account Managers to deliver high-impact content across client accounts.

Quality, strategic alignment, and SEO performance of delivered content
Effectiveness of client communication and content recommendations
Ability to execute content plans independently and meet deadlines
Collaboration with SEO, account management, and project management teams

Key Responsibilities Content Strategy & Execution
Develop and execute content plans aligned with client goals, target audiences, and SEO best practices.
Conduct keyword research and topic ideation to build editorial calendars for assigned accounts.
Identify content gaps and opportunities using performance data, competitive research, and analytics tools.
Contribute to content audits and recommend optimizations to improve rankings, traffic, and conversions.
Content Development
Write and edit SEO-focused content including practice area pages, blog posts, long-form guides, and campaign copy tailored to legal audiences.
Ensure all content meets brand voice, tone, legal accuracy standards, and client expectations.
Optimize published content based on performance insights and direction from Senior Content Strategists.
Client Partnership & Communication
Serve as a content point of contact for assigned clients — joining calls, presenting recommendations, and responding to content-related questions.
Partner with Account Managers to translate client goals and feedback into actionable content plans.
Communicate proactively about content status, strategy rationale, and performance insights.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
Collaborate with SEO strategists to ensure content supports broader organic growth objectives.
Work with Project and Account Management to prioritize and deliver content on schedule.
Coordinate with Design on content assets when visual support is needed.
Support Paid Media with landing page copy and content recommendations as needed.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, English, Journalism, or related field (or equivalent experience).
2–4 years of experience in content strategy, content writing, or SEO content development; agency experience is a plus.
Solid understanding of SEO principles, keyword research, and on-page optimization.
Strong writing and editing skills with the ability to adapt voice and tone for legal audiences.
Comfortable in client-facing settings — able to present ideas clearly and build rapport.
Familiarity with analytics platforms (e.g., GA4, Google Search Console) and CMS tools.
Ability to manage multiple accounts and deadlines in a fast-paced agency environment.
