Full-Time | Los Angeles, CA | In-Office

Reports to : Senior Director, Creative Strategy + SVP, Audience Engagement

As the

Content Strategist

for the Audience Engagement Team at Big Loud Rock, you will be the operational backbone of an artist's social media presence. It's a high-output, detail-driven position responsible for keeping the content engine running on schedule, calendars loaded, pre-production organized, fan engagement consistent, and nothing falling through the cracks.

You'll work alongside directors, editors, producers, and artists within a clearly defined lane. You keep the creative content machine fed, on time, and aligned with what's actually working on social media in 2026 & beyond.

What you’ll do:

Pre-Production & Planning

Participate in internal pre-content shoot calls alongside directors, producers, and leadership

Lead artist-facing strategy calls to help educate artists on social media best practices while respecting their creative preferences

Build and maintain content calendars ahead of each shoot cycle (minimum two-week runway at all times)

Ensure all pre-production assets (reference sheets, location/prop confirmations, shot list context) are loaded and accessible before shoot day

Post-Production & Calendar Management

Maintain posting cadence and scheduling across all active platforms for assigned artists

Track content performance and flag what's working so the team can call audibles on upcoming posts

Keep leadership informed on calendar status, content gaps, and scheduling conflicts proactively

Fan Pages & Artist-Adjacent Accounts

Manage and post daily across a portfolio of fan pages, burner accounts, and artist-adjacent social profiles (Instagram and TikTok)

Maintain content continuity and voice consistency across all managed accounts

Collaborate with support staff to ensure no account goes dark; own the accountability for posting cadence

Communication & Process

Serve as a communication bridge between artists and the content team

Maintain clean documentation in shared systems so any team member can pick up context at any time

What you have:

3+ years managing social media content at volume (music, entertainment, or adjacent industry preferred)

Obsessively organized: you live in calendars, spreadsheets, and project management tools

Comfortable managing 5–10+ social accounts simultaneously without letting any go stale

Familiar with paid social fundamentals (conversion campaigns, pre-save campaigns, basic ad setup)

Strong communicator with good vibes

Comfortable operating in a structured, accountability-driven environment with an emphasis on outside-of-the-box creative thinking

Based in Los Angeles and available to work in-office consistently—this is not a remote role

Bonus Points

Experience working with signed artists or within a label/management infrastructure

Familiarity with Notion, Airtable, or similar operational tools

Expert understanding of short-form content mechanics (hooks, visual events, retention patterns)

Background in music or genuine enthusiasm for artist development

You've built up a social media following of your own (50k+ followers)
