As an Account Executive at Commando, you’ll play a key role in driving the performance and growth of our wholesale business. This is a high-impact role for an experienced professional who brings a strong understanding of how to manage and grow a wholesale business and think strategically.
You’ll lead relationships with major retailers and high-volume online partners, owning account performance, identifying opportunities, and contributing to broader sales strategy and planning.
This role calls for someone proactive, and solutions-oriented, and comfortable operating with autonomy. You’ll partner closely with the Sales Director, collaborate across teams, and represent Commando externally as a thoughtful,strategic partner.
Location:
Ideally, candidates would be based in NYC, making this position remote.
Salary range:
$90,000-$120,000 depending on experience
Key Responsibilities
Own and lead relationships with key accounts, including major retailers and high-volume online partners.
Take accountability for account performance, including sales, margin, and long-term growth.
Develop and execute account strategies that support year-over-year growth.
Contribute to overall sales strategy and help shape priorities across accounts and channels.
Manage high-volume business with a focus on profitability, efficiency, and brand positioning.
Create and manage account-level forecasts, ensuring alignment with production, inventory flow, and demand.
Analyze selling performance to identify trends and inform next steps.
Partner with buying teams to optimize assortment, replenishment, and long-term growth.
Proactively identify and manage off-price exposure, including strategies to address excess inventory while protecting brand integrity.
Build and maintain relationships within the off-price channel to effectively manage liability.
Identify and pursue new business opportunities, supporting expansion into new accounts and channels.
Play a key role in market preparation, including strategy, sell-in approach, and key account focus areas.
Qualifications & Skills
5+ years of wholesale, account management, or sales experience, with a strong track record managing and growing major accounts across department stores, major retailers, and/or high-volume online partners.
Strong business and analytical skills, with the ability to use data to inform decisions and manage the business effectively.
Experience managing inventory exposure and/or off-price strategies preferred.
Strong communication and relationship-building skills, with the ability to work cross-functionally.
Highly organized and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Willingness to travel up to 50%.
