JR100236## **Current Xavier University employees** **must apply to the internal career site by logging into Workday**Assistant Director, Sorority Fraternity Life**Assistant Director for Sorority & Fraternity Life**Xavier University, a Catholic University in the Jesuit tradition, is seeking an Assistant Director for Sorority & Fraternity Life to provide leadership, vision, and day-to-day support for the University’s sorority and fraternity community. Reporting to the Senior Associate Director for Student Involvement, this position is responsible for advising and supporting fraternity and sorority chapters and their governing councils, including NPHC, Panhellenic, IFC, and the Unity Greek Council. The Assistant Director oversees the coordination and management of all functions related to Sorority & Fraternity Life, including budget and financial oversight, leadership development, events and programming, university approval processes, assessment, policy development, risk management and compliance, and marketing and communications. This role also serves as a key liaison to chapters, advisors, and inter/national organizations. As a member of the Student Engagement Team within Student Involvement, the Assistant Director contributes to broader departmental initiatives that promote student belonging, engagement, and success. Provide day-to-day advising and support to our Greek-letter organizations and associated councils:* Maintain active relationships with Greek-affiliated students, organization officers, and their chapter advisors as well as liaisons with their national organizations. This includes on-time completion of required reporting, such as grade verification or student status verification on behalf of the institution.* Develop, maintain, and enforce policies related to sorority and fraternity activities in alignment with the Office of Student Involvement policies for all student organizations.* Serve as the advisor of record and fiduciary officer over Greek-letter organizations reviewing and approving event requests, financial requests, collection of dues, and expenditures that align with university policies.* Develop and launch a new PHA and IFC as councils to support and assist with governing their member organizations.

Continue developing and supporting a Unity Greek Council as an umbrella for all councils.* Support coordination between PHA organizations and IFC organizations to offer recruitment that aligns with NIC, NPC, and Xavier policies and procedures.* Ensure compliance with university and national organization policies.* Offer coaching and support to SFL students related to their events, activities, and associated experiences.* Conduct program level evaluation and student learning assessment for student organization members, including establishing student learning outcomes, measuring outcomes, completing data collection and reporting, and making program revisions based upon assessment data.2. Coordinate student organization leader and advisor training:* Coordinate programming associated with educating the campus community about safe and positive recruitment and intake practices, facilitating programs such as Greek 101 and ensuring participation from all students intending to participate in a Membership Intake or Recruitment process.

This includes programming that complements and supports Manresa New Student Orientation, Week of Welcome, Club Day, and All for One Weekend.* Coordinate ongoing training and support around Recruitment policies and processes for PHA and IFC members.* Coordinate SFL community programming, in conjunction with the associated councils, to develop campus traditions such as an all-Greek service project, Greek Week, and other events.* Facilitate and co-facilitate workshops and trainings related to university policies and procedures for space use, events, and financial practices with other team members in the Office of Student Involvement.* Provide annual and ongoing training and ensure compliance from all Chapter and/or Grad Advisors (guests) which may include workshops, coordinating completion of background checks, Clery Security Authority training, and more.3. Promote and serve as representative of the Office of Student Involvement, Gallagher Student Center, Commuter Services, Student Affairs and Xavier University:* Coordinate opportunities to educate the greater campus community about Sorority & Fraternity Life, centering the experience around student success and retention as well as the benefits of Greek Life as a high impact experience and premiere engagement opportunity.* Contribute to departmental and divisional programming, event planning, and assessment efforts.* Support divisional teams, committees, and work groups.* Serve on university-wide teams, committees, task forces, and work groups as assigned.**Experience and Education:*** Master’s degree required in Higher Education Administration, College Student Personnel or related field* 3-5 years of relevant experience* Valid driver’s license**Other Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:*** Depth of knowledge: Firm working knowledge of concepts, practices and procedures and ability to use in varied situations.* Advanced communication (verbal and written) skills* Advanced project/process management skills and computer/technical skills* Intermediate analytical skills and equipment operation skills* Strong Internal and external interaction/collaboration skills* Decision making: Decisions have major implications on the management and operations of an area within a department. Job may contribute to important strategy, operational and business decisions that affect the department.* Strong Problem Solving Skills: Problems can be highly varied, complex and often non-recurring; requiring novel and creative approaches to resolution.
