
Sr. Account Executive, Federal Financials, WWPS (AWS)

As an Account Executive within Amazon Web Services (AWS), you will focus on the Federal Financial Business within the US Worldwide Public Sector Market. You will help shape and deliver a strategy to build mindshare and broad use of AWS’s utility computing web services, including Amazon Generative AI, Compute, Storage, Database, Machine Learning services, and more.
You will develop and manage a growing book of business for federal financial organizations, drive business and technical relationships, close deals rapidly, and build deep relationships through a deep understanding of each customer’s mission and environment. Your day‑to‑day interactions will involve CXO level customers in the top strategic accounts and help them use AWS services to enable business transformation across their organization and the broader financial services industry.
Key Job Responsibilities
Serve as a key member of the Federal Financial Sales Team, driving overall AWS market and technical strategy.
Contribute to strategy, program development, investments, channel development, and other initiatives to make AWS the best fit for customers.
Identify and engage Federal Financial accounts globally using a solution‑selling approach.
Maintain an accurate pipeline and commit to a forecast of specific business opportunities.
Perform the full range of sales activities from demand generation campaigns to pipeline management while engaging with customers, AWS internal resources (Professional Services, Solution Architects, service teams, and partners), and partners.
Utilize Salesforce.com and other internal Amazon systems effectively.
Be a thought leader and executive relationship builder.
Set a strategic sales plan for target markets that aligns with AWS’s strategic direction.
Identify specific prospects, partners, and channels, and communicate the unique value proposition for their business and use case.
Work closely with customers to ensure success using AWS web services, provide the necessary technical resources, and document wins in use cases and case studies.
Understand customers’ technical requirements and collaborate with internal development teams to guide product offerings for developers.
Prepare and present business reviews to senior management regarding progress and roadblocks.
Manage complex contract negotiations and liaison with the legal group while handling a high volume of engagements in a fast‑paced market.
Leverage knowledge of cloud computing, virtualization, data center, and storage technologies to help customers adopt winning web‑services strategies.

Basic Qualifications
5+ years of technology‑related sales, business development, or equivalent experience.
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems, or business.
Preferred Qualifications

Strong executive‑level communication and relationship building skills.
Ability to think strategically and convey compelling value propositions.

Base salary range: $142,800.00 – $193,200.00 USD annually.
