Hybrid Onsite 5 days/week, alternating weeks in Smithfield, RI The Senior Email Campaign Engineer will design, code, and deploy personalized email communications using Salesforce Marketing Cloud to deepen customer relationships at scale. The role requires expertise in email channel marketing, AMPScript and HTML, and strong project management to deliver scheduled, triggered, and journey-based campaigns. You will collaborate across marketing and technology teams to onboard programs, optimize processes, and serve as a subject matter expert on channel best practices and platform capabilities for the organization. Due to client requirements, applicants must be willing and able to work on a w2 basis. Rate: $35.00 to $45.00/hr. w2 Responsibilities
Plan and execute email campaigns from strategy and requirements through deployment, including scheduled sends, automated triggers, Journey Builder, and multi-touch programs. Build and edit email code and logic using Salesforce Marketing Cloud Content Builder and AMPScript. Collaborate with technology teams to onboard new email programs and content to the platform, acting as the voice of the business. Serve as a subject matter expert on template specifications, technical design, channel best practices, executional processes, data feed analysis, and platform capabilities. Track, triage, and resolve execution issues in real time to ensure timely and accurate delivery. Lead and collaborate across cross-functional teams in a matrixed environment to drive campaign effectiveness and process improvements. Provide guidance and training to enable team members to meet expectations and contribute to performance management activities as needed. Experience Requirements
Expertise in email channel marketing. Significant experience in digital execution, marketing technology, or digital marketing. Hands‑on experience with Salesforce Marketing Cloud, with AMPScript and Content Builder. Basic front‑end HTML skills required. Basic SQL skills (preferred). Experience with Salesforce Sales Cloud, Adobe Target, Simon Data, or Segment CDP (preferred). Proficiency in PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook, and Word. Strong project management and organization skills with the ability to reprioritize multiple complex initiatives and mitigate risks. Process‑oriented with clear communication of work and results. Demonstrated ability to build relationships and influence without authority in a matrixed environment. Ability to lead through ambiguity and foster collaboration. Analytical problem solver with sound judgment and strong written and oral communication skills. Proven self‑learning and self‑direction with attention to detail and methodical thinking. Customer‑first mindset with an entrepreneurial, agile approach and a bias toward action. Passion for mentoring and coaching.
