Director of Rehabilitation
to lead our therapy team and drive outstanding clinical outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
Leadership & Strategy:
Direct, organize, and evaluate all rehabilitation services to align with facility goals and industry best practices.
Regulatory Compliance:
Ensure adherence to federal, state, and professional standards; recommend and implement policy updates as needed.
Resident-Centered Care:
Collaborate with residents and families to develop individualized rehabilitation plans that meet personal goals.
Team & Resource Management:
Oversee staffing, scheduling, and resource allocation in coordination with therapy and administrative teams.
Stakeholder Engagement:
Build and maintain strong relationships with physicians, healthcare partners, and community organizations.
Problem Solving & Reporting:
Identify departmental challenges, implement solutions, and provide regular progress reports to leadership.
Inspection Readiness:
Maintain all rehab operations and documentation in a constant state of survey readiness.
Documentation Oversight:
Ensure accurate and timely recording of therapy notes, resident progress, and outcome metrics.
Interdisciplinary Collaboration:
Lead weekly multidisciplinary meetings to optimize therapy plans and resident outcomes.
Qualifications & Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in a Rehabilitation discipline (OT, PT, or SLP required).
Active, unencumbered license as an Occupational Therapist, Physical Therapist, or Speech-Language Pathologist.
Minimum of
3 years of clinical experience
in a rehabilitative setting.
At least
1 year of supervisory or leadership experience
in a hospital or long-term care environment.
Working knowledge of
RUGs (Resource Utilization Groups)
and
CMI (Case Mix Index) .
Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills with a passion for team development and resident advocacy.
