Employee Relations Specialist I
Position Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Employee Relations Specialist I to provide general administrative support for the Employee Relations function, including electronic file maintenance, review and processing of designated terminations, completion of standard separation agreements, employee relations intake and assignment/escalation as needed, daily administrative support, and other administrative duties as assigned. The role also assists with and/or responds to Tier 1 employee relations questions and investigations with appropriate oversight.

Responsibilities
Provide strategic advice to managers on workforce matters with mid-level complexity, including associate development, retention, performance, and conduct‑related disciplinary action, terminations, and organizational initiatives.
Guide managers in assessing needs for and developing teammate‑related communications, including corrective action and termination documentation.
Intake human‑relations questions, matters, or investigations received through phone, email, and Help Desk tickets, and assign/escalate to relevant Employee Relations team members or take lead using independent judgement.
Strategize with managers to improve work relationships, resolve teammate concerns, enhance associate engagement and retention, and foster compliance with company/division policy and applicable laws.
Investigate teammate grievances with mid‑level complexity and recommend appropriate action items or policy changes.
Evaluate dispute‑resolution options to mediate workplace conflicts between teammates and managers.
Assist with or respond to Tier 2 associate‑relations questions and draft severance agreements.
Prepare and finalize employment action and investigation documentation, and update within the case‑management system.
Qualifications
Associate’s Degree or equivalent experience; Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
1–3 years of experience in Human Resources or Office Administration.
Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word/Excel).
Excellent attention to detail, ability to prioritize work, and strong customer‑service skills.
Ability to exercise sound judgment and maintain confidentiality.
Job will remain open until filled.
