
Employee Relations Specialist I

We are seeking a dedicated Employee Relations Specialist I to provide general administrative support for the Employee Relations function, including electronic file maintenance, review and processing of designated terminations, completion of standard separation agreements, employee relations intake and assignment/escalation, daily administrative support, and other duties as assigned. The role also provides Tier 1 employee relations support and helps handle investigations with appropriate oversight.

Responsibilities
Utilize independent judgement to provide strategic advice to managers on workforce matters of mid‑level complexity, such as associate development, retention, performance and conduct‑related disciplinary action, terminations, and organizational/divisional initiatives, with appropriate oversight.
Guide managers in assessing the need for and developing teammate‑related communications including corrective action and termination documentation, providing oversight as needed.
Intake human relations questions, matters, and investigations received through phone, email, or Help Desk tickets and assign or establish escalation to relevant Employee Relations team members, or take lead using independent judgement with appropriate oversight.
Strategise with managers to improve work relationships, resolve teammate concerns, enhance associate engagement and retention, and foster compliance with company/division policy and applicable law. Investigate teammate grievances of mid‑level complexity, recommend appropriate action items, or propose policy or practice changes as needed.
Evaluate dispute‑resolution options to resolve workplace conflicts and mediate disputes between teammates and managers.
Assist with/respond to Tier 2 associate relations questions and draft severance agreements.
Prepare and finalize employment action and investigation documentation and update the case‑management system.
Qualifications
Associate’s Degree or equivalent experience required; Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
1–3 years of experience in Human Resources or Office Administration.
Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel).
Excellent attention to detail, ability to prioritise work, and exceptional customer‑service skills.
Ability to exercise sound judgement.
Paramount sensitivity to confidentiality and ability to maintain it.
