Order Management Specialist Pay Rate:

$40.00 – $42.00/hr, paid weekly. Hours/Schedule:

Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM (flexible based on time zone). Location:

100% Remote. Duration:

9-month contract.

Overview This role is responsible for managing the full purchase order lifecycle for Block’s hardware products. The Order Management Specialist serves as the central point of accountability for all open orders across suppliers and retailers, ensuring accuracy, visibility, and proper closure of purchase orders.

Key Responsibilities

Own end-to-end purchase order management across hardware suppliers and retail channels.

Translate SKU-level cost and forecast data into purchase orders aligned with MPS.

Manage mid-quarter order adjustments based on forecast and volume changes.

Track retailer-submitted POs and partner with supply planners to approve based on inventory positioning.

Audit and clean up backlog of open POs from prior years while establishing processes to prevent recurrence.

Maintain centralized visibility of open orders, supplier commitments, and inventory positioning.

Identify and elevate risks such as excess committed funds, outdated POs, and forecast misalignment.

Partner with Hardware Business Systems (HBS) and SDM teams to support PO automation initiatives.

Identify and eliminate manual processes through system improvements.

Contribute to Oracle ERP process improvements, including reporting and access provisioning.

Qualifications

3–5 years of experience in order management, procurement operations, or supply chain planning.

Experience managing purchase orders in an ERP system (Oracle preferred, SAP or similar acceptable).

Strong understanding of the full PO lifecycle including creation, modification, receipt, closure, and reconciliation.

Experience working with forecast data and translating demand signals into purchase orders.

Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage high volumes of SKUs and suppliers.

Experience with supplier communication and order reconciliation.

Proficiency in Excel or Google Sheets for reporting and analysis.

Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate across supply chain, finance, and operations teams.
