
Logistics & Trade Compliance Specialist

Job Description
We are seeking a detail-oriented Temporary Logistics & Trade Compliance Specialist to support global shipping operations and trade compliance activities during a 3‑month maternity leave coverage. The role will ensure continuity in both domestic and international logistics, as well as support trade compliance processes, including classification and responding to compliance requests.
Key Responsibilities Logistics Support
Coordinate domestic and international shipments, including air, ocean, and truck, according to production plans and deadlines
Communicate with internal teams and external partners (including China, Mexico, and Czech operations) to ensure shipments are executed accurately and on time
Work with carriers and freight forwarders to book shipments, track shipments, and resolve issues
Prepare and maintain shipping documentation, including invoices, packing lists, bills of lading, and other required records
Assist with routing, expediting, and maintaining shipment logs and reports
Support cost analysis, freight rate research, and maintain shipment records in SharePoint or other systems
Trade Compliance Support
Provide brokers with accurate trade compliance data to facilitate customs clearance
Respond to internal and external trade compliance requests in a timely manner
Assist with classification of products under the Harmonized Tariff Schedule (HTS) for U.S. and Canada
Maintain trade compliance documentation and support audits or internal reviews as needed
Collaborate with logistics, supply chain, and business teams to resolve compliance issues
Qualifications
2+ years of experience in logistics, supply chain, or trade compliance
Basic understanding of import/export procedures and customs documentation
Experience with HTS classification preferred
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel; experience with SharePoint a plus
Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to manage multiple priorities
Effective communication skills and ability to work with cross‑functional teams
Fluent in English with strong written and verbal communication skills
