The Part-Time Student Program is primarily designed to augment the Company’s regular full-time staff and is for students who work in parallel to their school schedule YEAR-ROUND.
Your Responsibilities Assist Marketing Communications Specialists and the Trade Show Coordinator with various design and administrative projects
Edit and design communications for external facing print and digital projects
Project management of multiple marketing requests with varying deadlines
Load product data into web tools: Product Catalog, the Portal, and JohnDeere.com
Write requisitions and follow up on associated issues with purchase orders
Perform a variety of administrative tasks for the Marketing organization
This position is not available to students on immigration visas.
What Skills You Need Ideally you will be pursuing a degree in marketing, graphic design, digital media, public relations, or journalism/mass communication; others may apply
Computer experience with Windows operating system
Experience with Microsoft Office - Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint (including presentation development)
Ability to communicate and collaborate with many different team members and functional areas
Available to work 16-20 hours/week during the academic year
Available to work 35-40 hours/week during the summer
Must be a full-time student at a local university or college
If currently attending a community college, must be planning to pursue a 4-year degree
Graduation date of May 2028 or later
Cumulative GPA of 2.8 or above
Must be able to commute to the work location in Waterloo, IA on a regular basis
What Makes You Stand Out Strong internal and external communication skills, with the ability to tailor messaging to diverse audiences
High attention to detail and strong organizational abilities
Exceptional time management skills, able to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
Experience with website maintenance and development
Skilled in creating and producing digital and printed marketing materials
Graphic design experience, including coursework or hands-on project work
Proficiency with the Adobe Creative Cloud, including Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator, Premiere Pro, and Premiere Rush
