Position Overview The Marketing Operations Specialist plays a key support role in customer-facing projects by coordinating resources and tracking progress against project milestones to help ensure on-time execution of deliverables. This role assists in scheduling, communication, and task management throughout the development and launch of product and customer-specific programs and events. The Marketing Operations Specialist collaborates closely with teams across sales, product management, creative, and procurement. They help maintain an efficient project management process that supports marketing and sales alignment, improves execution, and supports planning, vendor coordination, and process documentation across the marketing function.
Job Duties Manages the Customer Offering process for a specific set of customers, including the schedule of samples, publications, and ordering deadlines
Gathers key customer inputs including data insights, cost targets, due dates, and customer specific requests
Collaborates with sales, product management, creative, and procurement to develop a rotating calendar that aligns with customer due dates and manufacturing deadlines
Assists the Concept Designer by providing historical context and previous sales information for Customer Brand Boards and hardgoods development.
Identifies and connects the proper resources for each task, including new hard good development, catalog templates, tag design, pricing, etc.
Maintains awareness and communicates the strategies of the Product Management teams across the organization, staying aware of new product launches, availability, tag development, and purchase orders
Facilitates communication between Marketing, Purchasing, and Suppliers to deliver concepts and receive quotes, and collaborates with pricing to deliver costs on new hardgoods and materials
Maintains and contributes to a database or archive of past product concepts for reference and potential reuse.
Collaborates with Marketing Insights to analyze key learnings to share with the broader team to improve future sales performance
Supports customer events, tradeshows, and visits by managing marketing schedules, samples coordination, and facilitating the set-up of any additional support
Ensures the correct and timely ordering of samples and tags
Coordinates sample photography and tracking to ensure accuracy and accessibility.
Follows and helps maintain scalable processes that ensure best practices in catalog offerings and customer management
Contributes to the evaluation of planning processes, including funnel management and pipelines, and optimizes where possible, creating documentation when necessary
Supports the customer feedback loop helping track technical issues or revision needs and assisting with follow-up.

Qualifications and Education Requirements Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, or related field with experience
5+ years of experience in agency or in-house marketing experience and marketing campaign operations in B2B organizations
4+ years of prior experience in creating and managing multi-channel, full funnel marketing programs
Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously, meeting deadlines, and motivating team members
Ability to communicate clearly with teammates and supervisors in both verbal and written communications
The ability to adapt to new systems and develop processes
Resourcefulness to find necessary information in a complex organization
Experience managing projects and working with cross-functional stakeholders
Experience leading event coordination and execution
Experience with data analysis and reporting
Experience working with a team in a virtual mode with remote resources
Proficiency with MS Excel, Word, SharePoint, and PowerPoint
Experience with RFQ’s and working with outside vendors to maintain cost targets and deadlines
Working knowledge of the horticultural industry
Strong critical-thinking and problem-solving skills
Excellent teamwork skills
