Our client is hiring a Business Development Representative (BDR) to join their growing sales team in Washington, DC. The ideal candidate has 1–2 years of professional experience and is excited to break into sales or grow within an outbound role focused on building pipeline and driving new conversations. Additional info below: About the Client Founded to bring transparency and intelligence to U.S. state governments Leading news and policy intelligence platform Combines nonpartisan journalism, proprietary state government data, and AI-native tools Company Size: Growing national team Fully in-office 5x/week in Washington, DC (L & 15th St. NW) Role Information BDR role focused on outbound prospecting Responsible for pipeline creation and qualified meetings bookedProspecting via cold calls, email, and LinkedIn CRM: HubSpot Quota: monthly meetings + pipeline targets Qualifications 1–2 years (but no more than 4 years) of professional work experience (sales experience not required) Strong communicator — comfortable initiating conversations and building rapport Highly organized and goal-oriented Interest in developing a career in sales Nice to Have: Previous BDR, SDR, or customer-facing experience Experience using a CRM (HubSpot preferred) Experience with Apollo.io, Lemlist, or similar tools Startup experience Why Do You Want to Work for Our Client?
