Position Summary
The Marketing Automation Engineer position is a key role within our growing Salesforce Practice. This role will support the Solution Architect on complex Salesforce Marketing Cloud implementations and existing client work, serving as the technical advisor and expert on the platform development abilities. Individuals in this role have a passion for developing custom solutions and delivering best‑in‑class outcomes.
Duties and Responsibilities
Supports Solution Architect through discovery, advising on level of effort and feasibility of technical components to support client priorities and objectives.
Builds out integrations between Marketing Cloud and external systems
Create and present solution documentation, keeping both internal and external stakeholders informed and engaged
Configure, test, document, implement and train on Salesforce Marketing Cloud throughout implementations
Create, edit and manipulate complex SQL, AMPScript, SSJS and JSON.
Be able to edit existing HTML and CSS
Build audiences and segments using complex logic across multiple data sets
Make minor edits to creative files
Develop and adhere to rigorous QA process
Proactively present and deploy optimization activities
Partner with Analytics for access to do data and systems for analysis and reporting
Required Qualifications
Bachelors degree in Marketing, Communications, Business Management, Computer Science, Information Technology, etc. or equivalent work experience
Three+ years of relevant Salesforce Marketing Cloud experience
Expertise in Salesforce Marketing Cloud Email Studio & Journey Builder, with additional expertise across CDP, Interaction Studio and Advertising Studio a plus
Understanding of data privacy and protection practices (CAN‑SPAM, CASL, EU Privacy Directive, DPR, blacklisting, etc.)
Attention to detail and an eye for quality
Salesforce Marketing Cloud Developer Certified
Coding capabilities across the following:
AMPscript.
SQL
HTML/CSS
SSJS
JSON

Salary
$100,000 - $110,000 a year
We benchmark salaries across industry standards and local markets to ensure we offer competitive, fair compensation. Final offers reflect a candidate’s skills, experience, and location. The annual base for this position is anticipated to be up to $110k in the Greater Minneapolis/St. Paul, MN market. Final compensation will be dependent on the ideal candidates experience and local market at the time of hire.
