Commercial Insurance Marketing Account Executive Join to apply for the Commercial Insurance Marketing Account Executive role at McGriff About the role McGriff is a division of Marsh McLennan Agency (MMA), providing business insurance, employee health & benefits, retirement, and private client insurance solutions across North America. As a flagship commercial lines team, you will lead and coordinate marketing activities for new and renewal business, support producers in sales activities, consult with clients, negotiate, respond to Requests for Proposals, participate in prospect meetings, lead mid‑year reviews, and drive line‑of‑business strategy while mentoring team members. Responsibilities Lead and coordinate marketing activities on new and renewal business. Support producers in sales activities and act as a consultative point of contact for clients. Identify and understand client needs, provide recommendations and rationale with limited oversight. Demonstrate strong negotiation skills and respond to Requests for Proposals. Participate in prospect meetings. Direct and lead mid‑year reviews. Collaborate with national leadership to drive line‑of‑business strategy and initiatives. Lead, mentor, and train other account service team members. Qualifications Bachelor's degree or equivalent education and/or related experience. Six years of commercial insurance industry experience. Property and casualty insurance license. Considerable knowledge of markets, policies and coverage issues for all serviced states and industries. Organizational skills to plan and prioritize team workload and oversee workflows. Leadership skills, service and team orientation, with ability to provide direction, feedback and development. Strong communication and interpersonal skills to build and maintain relationships with clients, market contacts and teammates. Strong persuasion skills and tact for negotiation and client engagement. Discretion and problem‑solving skills to analyze client information, proposal competitiveness and resolve problems. Proficiency in basic computer applications such as Microsoft Office. Ability to travel overnight. Additional Qualifications (Preferred) Advanced degree(s). Insurance industry certifications in addition to the necessary license.
