Commercial Insurance Marketing Account Executive

Marketing Account Executive at McGriff, a division of Marsh McLennan Agency (MMA). This role is part of the Commercial Lines team, focusing on business insurance and related solutions.

Day in the Life
As Marketing Account Executive on the Commercial Lines team, you will lead and coordinate marketing activities for new and renewal business, support producers in sales activities, serve as a consultative point of contact for clients, identify and understand client needs, provide recommendations, demonstrate negotiation skills, respond to RFPs, participate in prospect meetings, direct mid‑year reviews, work closing with national leadership to drive LOB strategy, and mentor team members.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree or equivalent education and/or related experience

Six years of commercial insurance industry experience

Property and casualty insurance license

Considerable knowledge of markets, policies and coverage issues for all states and industries serviced

Organizational skills to plan and prioritize team workload and oversee application of workflows and procedures

Leadership skills and service orientation to provide direction, praise, constructive feedback and development to employees

Strong communication and interpersonal skills to build and maintain positive business relationships with clients, market contacts and teammates

Strong persuasion skills and tact to obtain information, negotiate with markets, obtain commitment or payments due and motivate staff

Discretion and problem‑solving skills to analyze client information, proposal competitiveness and resolve client, market and employee relations problems

Proficiency in basic computer applications such as Microsoft Office Suite

Ability to travel overnight

Additional Qualifications

Advanced degree(s)

Insurance industry certifications in addition to necessary license

Significant prior experience leading teams and/or projects
