
Internal Communications Specialist

Maury Regional Health is seeking an internal communications specialist to represent the voice of our organization to our internal team members and other audiences. In this role, you'll craft compelling stories that celebrate our people, strengthen our culture and keep our teams informed and engaged across multiple locations. We are seeking an individual who thrives in a fast-paced team environment to fill this position. Responsibilities will include:
Employee Storytelling and Engagement
Develop and produce a monthly employee newsletter that highlights staff achievements, organizational updates and inspiring stories from across our hospital system
Create engaging, authentic content that resonates with diverse audiences, from clinical staff to business and administrative teams
Identify and interview employees for feature stories that showcase our values and mission in action
Internal Communications Management
Manage day-to-day operations of our internal communications platform, ensuring timely and effective distribution of organization messaging
Collaborate with department leaders to translate complex information into clear, accessible communications for team members
Maintain editorial calendar and coordinate messaging across multiple departments to ensure consistency and strategic alignment
Work with department representatives to plan for social media content recognizing employees and departments
Marketing and Communications Liaison
Serve as the primary point of contact between the Marketing & Communications Department and various health system departments and physician practices for internal marketing and communications projects
Coordinate marketing projects, timelines and deliverables to support departmental initiatives and physician practices
Facilitate communications between stakeholders to ensure marketing materials align with organizational standards and goals
Foundation Marketing Lead
Lead marketing strategies and execution for the hospital foundation
Develop compelling narratives that demonstrate community impact and inspire philanthropic support
Collaborate with foundation leadership to create materials that advance objectives
This position reports to the marketing and communications director and will work closely with MarCom staff to collaboratively develop content, ensure deadlines are met, measure project/content performance and make strategic recommendations to improve audience engagement.
The Marketing & Communications Department drives the marketing efforts for the entire Maury Regional Health system, including three hospitals, numerous outpatient departments, Maury Regional Medical Group practices and the Maury Regional Health Care Foundation.
Job Requirements
Required: Five years of related experience
Preferred: Bachelor's degree in marketing, journalism, communications or public relations (preferred)
Preferred: Knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite, including InDesign, Photoshop and other key applications
Preferred: Content management system proficiency
