Job Summary The University of North Georgia is currently accepting applications for a Graphic Design Student Assistant – Institutional Student Worker on the Dahlonega campus. We are looking for a creative, detail-oriented Graphic Design Student Worker to join our creative team. This role is designed for a current student on the Dahlonega Campus looking for hands-on experience. You will work closely with our Creative Director and the Creative Production team to support brand consistency across digital and print platforms, helping to turn conceptual ideas into high-impact visuals.
Responsibilities Asset Creation: Assist in the design of flyers, logos, social media graphics, email headers, and promotional print materials.
Production Support: Perform image retouching, cropping, and basic layout adjustments for existing templates.
Brand Stewardship: Ensure all designs adhere to established brand guidelines, colors, and typography.
Collaboration: Participate in creative brainstorming sessions and contribute fresh perspectives to campaign concepts.
File Management: Organize and maintain the digital asset library, ensuring files are named correctly and easy to retrieve.
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities Design Software: Fundamental proficiency in the Adobe Creative Suite (specifically Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign). Familiarity with motion graphics is a plus.
Visual Literacy: A strong eye for layout, typography, and color theory.
Communication: Ability to accept constructive feedback and iterate on designs quickly.
Required Qualifications Must be enrolled at the University of North Georgia in a minimum of six (6) credit hours to qualify as a student worker.
At least one (1) year of experience working in a graphic design environment; or an equivalent combination of education, certification and experience.
Preferred Qualifications Preferred majors: Graphic Design, Visual Arts, Communication, or a related field.
