The Business Development Executive
The Business Development Executive position is a key sales role within Ardham Technologies, responsible for executing new sales and business development strategies for target clients within the geographical territory. Ardham seeks a driven contributor with long term goals for career growth within the organization.
Responsibilities
Provides outstanding internal and external customer service the candidate will perform a “hunter” role, responsible for acquiring net new clients through outbound calls, email, networking and conferences
Setting up meetings weekly with potential net new customers
Attending work and vendor trade shows, and other company events
Meet weekly sales metrics consistently, including: Activity metrics, number of meetings set, and number of qualified sales conversions
Qualify prospects and their pain points to determine if they’re a good fit for our IT solutions
Understand the client’s buying process and their business drivers
Research target companies including business focus, financial performance, and corporate goals
Promote sales of Ardham’s entire solutions portfolio including Managed IT Services, IT Consulting, Turn‑Key Enterprise Projects, Cloud Offerings, Security, Wireless, Hyperconverged solutions, along with Reactive Professional Services
Other Responsibilities
Presenting projects, products, and solutions to clients in 1-to-1 and 1-to-many meetings; ability to present to both IT and leadership audiences.
Ability to work effectively on a team and independently; attend and participate in internal meetings
Create and prioritize strategic account lists within a defined territory
Drive attendance to customer facing events through calls, emails, and visits
Collaborate with partners, vendors, and manufacturers to maximize your effectiveness and territory expansion; collaborate on solution offerings and drive joint calls
Build a robust prospect network in assigned markets via event attendance, building professional relationships, and leveraging your existing contacts
Sales Training certifications through various technology vendors
Other duties as assigned
The Base Qualifications/Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Marketing, relevant field or commensurate work experience
1-4 years’ sales & business development experience
Driven, Positive, Upbeat Attitude
Ability to work collaboratively with multiple departments across the fast-paced organization
Familiarity with CRM concepts and commitment to maintaining accurate records of companies, contacts, sales activities, and opportunity forecasts self‑motivated with a strong work ethic
The most successful candidate will have these traits
Excellent communication, organization, and interpersonal skills; candidates must be very comfortable on the telephone and be ready to talk to prospects and customers
Ability to identify and qualify the key aspects of a potential lead, including need, budget, time frame, decision‑maker and have the capability to discuss appropriate solutions at a high level
Having a general knowledge of the IT industry and business acumen, with the capacity to learn new systems, brands, and products quickly
Welcoming to new prospecting strategies and sales philosophies in order to successfully find qualified opportunities
Willingness to work outside of their comfort zone, specifically in prospecting activities
A methodical thinker with natural independent thinking skills, who can manage people and any conflicts that might surface
A collaborator who can communicate easily to peers and management of the workload to meet deadlines or to optimize the day‑to‑day organization
Adaptable to any situation, allowing me to solve difficult problems that might require out‑of‑the‑box thinking, and dares to make decisions
Easily meet clients and prospects exactly where they are, at any given time. Through active listening, and responsiveness to support clients during any time of need
