Sales Development is the foundation of our sales organization where new business opportunities come to life. In the Business Development Representative (BDR) role, we support outbound sales teams through strategic prospecting and extensive account research. BDRs generate significant new business pipeline each year and participate in an intensive sales training program to build fundamental skills for a successful sales career at Salesforce.
Day to Day
Generate new business pipeline primarily through prospecting outbound opportunities
Manage inbound leads driven by outbound effort
Nurture early-stage opportunities
Initiate outbound cold calling to existing Salesforce customers and gain entry into net-new logos in assigned territory
Partner with core sellers to identify and source net-new pipeline and research lines of business and personas
Align with internal account teams
Identify key decision makers within new accounts
Preferred Qualifications
1-2 years of experience in business development, sales or related field
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with creative thinking and quality work
Experience researching, account planning, prospecting, and cold calling into a large list of accounts (net-new and existing install)
Proven track record of achieving sales metrics and quota attainment
