
Business Development - C&I Solar

The Commercial Project Developer is a proven B2B sales professional who sells complex technical and/or financial solutions and wants to do meaningful work in clean energy. This role owns commercial solar and battery storage deals end‑to‑end, from prospecting through close.
You’ll build and manage a strong pipeline, work directly with senior decision‑makers, and help drive My Client’s growth while advancing sustainability and carbon reduction.
What You’ll Do
Own the full commercial sales cycle from outreach to contract close
Self‑generate opportunities through targeted prospecting, networking, and referrals
Lead discovery, site assessments, financial modeling, proposals, and negotiations
Clearly differentiate My Client’s value to win competitive deals
Maintain CRM accuracy and pipeline visibility
Travel to customer sites as needed

Working independently while contributing to a strong team culture
Requirements
5+ years of B2B sales experience (construction, HVAC, solar, or related)
Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
Willingness to meet customers
Comfortable with site visits, including roof access when safe
