
Digital Marketing Specialist

Under the direction of the Vice President, Marketing & Communications, the Digital Marketing Specialist position will play a key role in supporting the marketing and communications efforts for the Ames Regional Economic Alliance and affiliate organizations.
This creative and detail-oriented person will develop content to be used in Ames Regional Economic Alliance and affiliate organization social media channels, publications, and website. Designs will support the organization’s events, programs, and initiatives. This position will provide support in designing, planning, implementing, coordinating, and evaluating content through the Ames Regional Economic Alliance communication channels.
Responsibilities/Essential Functions Provide visual direction to support Ames Regional Economic Alliance events, programs, and initiatives
Prepare a variety of graphic design and layout work in preparation of various posters, exhibits, advertisements, slides, brochures, newsletters, and flyers using various production techniques
Perform preparatory work such as layout, design, and direction to produce quality graphic-design artwork
Contribute to the development and implementation of marketing plans
Support marketing and communication efforts with a broad range of creative design work that may include graphic arts, copywriting, photography, and videography
Other duties, as assigned
Skills and Abilities Print and digital design in Canva and/or Adobe Creative Suite
Follow established branding guidelines
Photography
Outstanding written and oral communication skills
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Demonstrate initiative and ability to work independently
Manage communications and marketing projects from concept to completion
Balance multiple projects with competing priorities under tight deadlines
Education Associate’s, or Bachelor’s degree
