(Lead – Annual 5K Initiative) About Jasmine House Foundation The Jasmine House Foundation is a community-based nonprofit dedicated to helping middle school youth develop leadership, confidence, and readiness for high school and beyond. Through mentoring programs and community engagement, we work to ensure young people have the support systems they need to succeed. Board Role Overview The Jasmine House Foundation is seeking a Marketing & Fundraising Volunteer Board Member who wants to use their professional skills to expand awareness of our mission and strengthen our fundraising efforts. A key focus of this role will be to create and lead the Jasmine House annual 5K fundraiser in Clayton County , establishing it as a signature community event that supports youth mentorship and leadership programming. This board member will also help connect Jasmine House with potential corporate sponsors and community partners through their professional and marketing networks. Key Responsibilities Social Media Marketing & Communications Help guide Jasmine House’s marketing and communications strategy Create and share content that highlights the impact of mentoring programs and student stories Grow the organization’s social media presence across LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram, and other platforms Promote fundraising events and community initiatives to expand awareness and engagement Create & Lead the Jasmine House Annual 5K (Fall 2026) Create and lead the planning of the Jasmine House 5K fundraiser Establish the event as a signature annual community fundraiser Coordinate event logistics, volunteers, promotion, and partnerships Explore opportunities for a virtual race participation option Work with the board to maximize participation and fundraising impact Corporate & Community Partnerships Leverage professional networks to help identify and connect with potential corporate sponsors Build relationships with local businesses and community partners Help develop sponsorship opportunities and partnerships for the annual 5K and other fundraising initiatives Participate in board meetings and strategic discussions Serve as an ambassador for the Jasmine House mission in the community Support broader fundraising and awareness efforts Ideal Candidate We are looking for someone who: Has experience in marketing, communications, fundraising, or event planning Has a professional network that could help connect Jasmine House to community or corporate partners Enjoys bringing people together around a meaningful cause Is passionate about supporting youth and strengthening communities Wants to contribute leadership and skills to a growing nonprofit organization Time Commitment Approximately 10-12 hours per month Increased involvement during planning and execution of the annual 5K event (Fall 2026) Participation in periodic board meetings Impact This role will help the Jasmine House Foundation: Expand awareness and support through social media marketing and storytelling Launch and grow a signature annual community fundraiser Build partnerships with local businesses and corporate sponsors Support youth mentorship programs and strengthen the South Atlanta community #J-18808-Ljbffr
