Description
The digital marketing and social media communications field is constantly evolving and changing, and the current landscape requires brands to create content that isn’t just trendy, but that feels authentic and human. The Digital Content Internship role is designed to fuel content creation for STX in the sport of lacrosse and field hockey, and is designed to provide a current college student with the opportunity to gain hands‑on experience both through in‑office and on‑field work. The intern recruited for this position will be charged with capturing and editing, digital content for all sport categories at STX.
The Digital Content Intern will be responsible for creating content that aligns with STX brand standards, promoting STX’s products, and inserting STX into ongoing conversations happening in field hockey and lacrosse.
Responsibilities
Identify social media content trends on Instagram and TikTok, and seek ways for STX to create engaging and energetic content that aligns to brand standards and tone of voice
Produce, film, and edit content for STX channels using lightweight equipment (iPhone, in‑app editing tools) and/or more advanced content tools (professional camera, audio setup , Adobe Premiere)
Monitor STX social media channels and wider conversations in the sport of lacrosse and field hockey to evaluate opportunities for STX to engage and participate
Create new and effective approaches to developing and deploying digital content that measurably grow both enrollment and engagement
Manage STX brand Content Calendar for Men’s Lacrosse, Women’s Lacrosse, and Field Hockey categories in coordination with Digital Content Specialist, Director of Marketing, and Sport Coordinators
Establish consistent rhythm of content creation, seeking creative briefs, creative direction, and creative approvals from the Digital Content Specialist and Director of Marketing

Requirements
Must be actively enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate program
Comprehensive understanding of digital communication landscape and social media platforms
Established capability in digital content collection and production, including samples of work (portfolio/links/social media channel)
The ideal candidate will have prior experience in sports‑related communications, and personal experience having played the game of lacrosse and/or field hockey
Willingness to work in‑office in Baltimore or on assignment in the field for up to 40 hours per week
Candidate must have access to their own equipment including a laptop, camera, and editing software
