Business Account Manager

Avo Photonics is a dynamic contract engineering services company that designs, develops and manufactures custom opto-electronic products for a large customer base. Members of our staff have the opportunity to design, prototype and produce next generation products for a diverse range of markets including environmental, medical, military, industrial, aerospace, and communications.

We seek a diligent, dedicated and meticulous Manager who will help to further our success and reputation in the industry through world-class customer service. The successful candidate must plan his/her own work schedule, keep multiple records, be self-motivated, maintain a professional presence, and have the desire to take ownership of projects.

Specifically:

• Evaluate, plan, and implement the sales process for all paths of customer support, including both production and non-production services
• Serve as the primary contact to build trust and ensure long term customer retention.
• Establish clear expectations for communication of delivery commitments and inventory plans
• Ensure that reverse logistic services, such as product upgrades, meet the same profitability objectives as new production builds
• Manage customer pricing and cost models so that provided services should meet Return-On-Sales objectives, individually and in the aggregate
• Act as the customer advocate, where appropriate, to find innovative solutions to meet customer needs
• Provide support to ensure customer accounts remain current at all time
• Manage any contract negotiations to retain customer trust while maintaining appropriate business risk

Requirements:

• 10-15 years experience with customer management and technical sales
• BS in Engineering is preferred
• Experience translating customer requirements into project deliverables
• Maturity and experience to handle difficult, direct conversations with customers
• Outstanding verbal and written communication skills
