Your impact
As the Director of Business Development for Environmental Solutions , you will be the primary driver of Jacobs’ growth strategy across Houston and the Gulf Coast region. Your mission is to expand market share, deepen executive‑level client relationships, and position Jacobs as the partner of choice for environmental services within the energy and industrial sectors.
You will lead client engagement, shape long‑term account strategies, and ensure Jacobs is consistently in front of the right opportunities at the right time. By understanding client priorities—from capital planning to operational risk reduction— you will influence decision‑makers and create pathways for Jacobs to deliver high‑value solutions.
This is a high‑visibility leadership role ideal for a proven business developer who excels at building relationships, navigating complex sales cycles, and closing strategic deals.
Responsibilities
- Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent experience)
- 15–20 years of experience in the environmental market or related industry, with a strong focus on business development, account management, or sales leadership
- A proven track record of building pipelines and winning new business with Houston-based energy, petrochemical, or industrial clients
- Existing executive‑level relationships and the ability to open doors, expand influence, and advance Jacobs’ position in key accounts
- Demonstrated ability to
- Develop and execute multi‑year growth and capture strategies
- Identify, qualify, and prioritize opportunities that align with Jacobs’ business objectives
- Lead proposal development, pricing strategies, and competitive positioning
- Coach teams through client presentations and interviews
- Manage commercial negotiations and close high‑value deals
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire, mentor, and guide account teams toward shared growth targets

The base salary range for this position is $205,600.00 to $300,000.00. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
